Most popular coffee types among consumers in Sweden 2023, by gender

In June 2023, a survey found that most Swedish respondents usually drink filter coffee. In fact, this was stated by both 72 percent of men and 72 percent of women. Instant coffee ranked second for everyone surveyed.

The original survey question was as follows: "Vilket slags kaffe dricker du oftast?"

*The classic way to make "Kokkaffe" is to boil coffee with water in a pot. After the black-brown powder has sunk to the bottom of the jug, the finished drink can be carefully poured into a cup. "Kokkaffe" is ground a little coarser so that the powder can settle better at the bottom. Typically Swedish and very traditional, this type of coffee is cooked on an open fire in the middle of nature.
