Each cracker variety of Sunshine Cheez-it's large product portfolio contains mainly enriched wheat flour, vegetable oil, the respective type of cheese, salt and seasoning. The original Cheez-It cracker was introduced in 1921 by the Green and Green company of Dayton Ohio. Through a series of corporate acquisitions and transactions the Keebler Company has owned the brand since 1996.
