U.S. Government expenditure on children 1960-2011, by program/tax provision
This statistic shows the share of government expenditure on children in the United States from 1960 to 2011. A distinction is made between where funds were directed i.e. to means-tested programs, means-tested tax provisions etc. In 2011, 55 percent of expenditures on children in the United States went to means-tested programs.
