In 2023, Midea Group Co. Ltd. was the largest global household appliance company with sales that amounted to some 53 billion U.S. dollars. Other significant companies included Gree Electric Appliances, and SEB SA.

Chinese companies at the forefront

Chinese home appliances companies dominated the leading positions in the home appliances market globally in 2023, as Chinese companies Midea, Haier Smart Home, and Gree Electric Appliances were the leading home appliances companies that year. In 2022, Haier Smart Home's revenue reached over 35 billion U.S. dollars. Some of the company’s largest product categories include laundry appliances, kitchen appliances, and refrigerators, with the latter group being the largest in 2022.
