U.S. rare earth imports by product 2018-2022
The United States' imports of rare earth compounds in 2022 amounted to an estimated 11,000 metric tons of rare-earth-oxide (REO) equivalent. Additionally, the U.S. imported 520 metric tons of rare-earth metals, scandium, and yttrium, and 420 metric tons of ferrocerium alloys that year.
