
Non-fiction book reading by young people in the United Kingdom (UK) 2017-2022
In the early months of 2022, 45.1 percent of children and young people in the United Kingdom reported having read printed non-fiction books outside of their school classes at least once per month, down from more than 46 percent in the corresponding period of 2020. Although print remains the more popular format, the share of young people using digital alternatives to read non-fiction books has been steadily increasing each year.
