According to the results of a survey conducted in the United Kingdom in 2022, 31 percent of respondents paid a single fee to download physical audiobooks through services such as Audible, Apple and so on, down from 39 percent in the previous year. In 2022, the most popular option was to pay for a subscription, although the illegal route of ripping audiobooks from YouTube was marginally more common than in 2021.
