Burnout index among physicians in the U.S. - median MBI score 2014

This statistic displays the burnout indexes of U.S. physicians in 2011 and 2014, by MBI score. In 2014, the median MBI score of emotional exhaustion was 25 among surveyed U.S. physicians. Burnout syndrome and work-related stress can impair a person's physical and mental well-being. It is suggested that many physicians experience professional burnout and can lead to negative impacts such as broken relationships, problematic alcohol use, and suicidal ideation.
