According to the survey conducted in November 2013, the leading six products were all crisps. Walkers ranked highest with 42 percent of respondents purchasing their crisps at the time of survey, followed by Doritos at 32 percent. The market for savory snacks in the United Kingdom is the largest in Europe, with the highest growth rate of all Western European countries. Crisps make up a large portion of the market, although the average volume of purchases has remained steady. Retail sales volumes of savory potato snacks excluding crisps have risen, with increases in the retail sales value seen for both crisps and savory potato snacks.
