In the 2022 ranking of largest acquisitions transactions in the Republic of Ireland, the highest value acquisition deal was the acquisition of Horizon Therapeutics Plc, Dublin. This acquisition was made by Amgen Inc. with a value of about 26 billion euros. The next-highest acquisition deal of 2022 was the acquisition of the Goshawk Aviation Ltd (Dublin), by another Irish company, SMBC Aviation Capital Ltd, with a value of 6.4 billion euros.
