Children participating in golf in England 2018-2021
This statistic presents the share of children who participated in golf in the last 4 weeks in England, as of annual surveys conducted between 2018 and 2021. In the 2017/18 academic year, around 0.3 percent of children aged between 5 and 16 had played golf in the week prior to the survey. This figure increased to approximately 0.5 percent in the 2019/20 academic year before decreasing again to 0.3 percent in the 2020/2021 academic year. The surveys is conducted by Sport England, the national sports governing body of England on an annual basis to determine children’s sport participation and preferences.
