Netherlands: annual volume of beer consumed 2008-2021
The Dutch are particularly fond of their local beer. A 2016 survey on the preferred country of origin of beers in the Netherlands, approximately 40 percent of the Dutch beer drinkers participating in this survey answered they prefer to drink Dutch beer. Belgian beer came second, with approximately 25 percent of the respondents saying they prefer to drink beer from Belgium. Another survey also included a question on the kind of beers the Dutch like to drink. This statistic shows that the majority of the Dutch respondents drink lager at least once a month.
