Overall, during the period under consideration Spaniards left the country more than they returned, resulting in negative figures up to 2017, and again in 2020 and 2021. In the last year, net migration of Spanish people stood at -4,417. Furthermore, most nationals that leave the country have higher education and are aged between 25 and 44 years.
