This statistic displays the population of Spain from 2006 to 2018, by nationality in millions. As of January 2018, the Spanish-born population accounted for 42.02 million out of the national total. Foreign-born residents grew during the analyzed period of time, but this tendency began a decline in 2014, with a total amount of foreigners of 4.57 million. The population in Spain has also been analyzed by autonomous community, with Andalusia topping the list of the most populated regions.
