Vodka consumption in the U.S.The clear distilled alcoholic beverage known as vodka is a popular drink in the United States: in 2018, roughly 40 percent of adult American consumers drank vodka regularly . Other popular alcoholic beverages included domestic beer and red wine. That year, U.S. consumers between the ages of 30 and 49 were the most frequent drinkers of vodka. When asked, about 65 percent of this age group stated they had consumed vodka in the past three months.
Vodka is not consumed at the same rate all year round however. In 2018, the largest volume of the clear beverage was consumed in December, when Americans drank a total of seven and a half million 9 liter cases of vodka.
