What is the difference between sports and energy drinks?
The main purpose of sports drinks is to hydrate consumers by replacing water and electrolytes which may have been lost during and/or after physical activity. In contrast, energy drinks are any beverage which contains stimulant compounds such as caffeine, sugar or vitamins. They are generally marketed as being able to enhance mental and physical stimulation and boost energy levels.
