Sweden: housing allowance recipients by type 2021

After peaking in 2014, the total number of households in Sweden receiving housing allowance decreased. In 2014, there were roughly 177,000 households receiving housing allowance, whereas this had fallen below 134,000 in 2021. Of the housing allowance recipients in 2021, 107,000 were households with children and 27,000 were young people without children.
