The annual consumption of nuclear electricity in the United Kingdom (UK) has fluctuated between 1970 to 2021. Nuclear energy consumption nearly tripled between 1970 and 2000, though it has since been on the decline. The total consumption of nuclear energy for electricity generation in 2021 amounted to 9.9 million tons of oil equivalent, the lowest figure since 1980.
