In 2022, the revenue of Tripadvisor, Inc. worldwide bounced back, after dropping sharply with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, totaling nearly 1.5 billion U.S. dollars. Despite the significant increase, however, earnings remained below pre-pandemic levels.When breaking down Tripadvisor’s global revenue by region, the United States represented by far the leading market, accounting for nearly 61 percent of the company's earnings in 2022, followed by the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, Viator reported the highest growth in revenue from 2020 to 2022 among the three Tripadvisor business segments. Overall, after recording substantial losses in the first two years of the health crisis, the company ended the 2022 fiscal year with a positive balance, as Tripadvisor’s net income amounted to roughly 20 million U.S. dollars.
