Share of Indian imports FY 2019 by commodity

Crude petroleum was the most imported commodity into India, at over 22 percent in fiscal year 2019. This was an increase of 30.5 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, indicating a strong demand in the south Asian country. Gold came in second at over six percent, a decrease of over two percent compared to the previous year.
