The number of concert visitors in Japan amounted to around 22.8 million in 2021, which represented a considerable recovery from the previous year. While the number greatly increased throughout the 2010s, the advent of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 led to the cancelation of many live events, which resulted in lower visitor numbers.
