Net profits/losses Italian fashion company Moschino in 2014-2018

In 2017, the Italian fashion company Moschino S.p.A. reported a net loss of approximately 180 thousand euros, whereas the previous year the company had registered a net profit of 0.7 million euros. On the other hand, the turnover of Moschino S.p.A. increased steadily from 2011 to 2017, when it reached a value of 53.2 million euros.


The brand Moschino belongs to the Italian fashion Group AEFFE. The Group, which registered a turnover of 352 million euros in 2018, is active in the design, production and distribution of a wide range of products including ready-to-wear, footwear and leather goods, lingerie and beachwear. Among the brands under the Group’s ownership, Moschino registered the highest sales value in 2018, accounting for more than 70 percent of the Group’s total sales value.

AEFFE Group more present in the domestic market

Compared to other Italian fashion companies which rely heavily on sales abroad, the domestic market seems to be the most important for the brands controlled by AEFEE Group. In fact, AEFFE Group’s sales in Italy amounted to almost 1.7 billion euros, accounting for just under 50 percent of the total. In comparison, for example, sales in the rest of Europe amounted to 80 million euros.
