Household gross savings ratio is defined as gross household savings divided by gross disposable income in the household, taking into account changes in pension entitlements. The figures showed that Sweden was leading the ranking, from the countries listed, with household gross savings ratio of 16 percent at that time. France was listed as second, with ratio at nearly the same level, 15.9 percent. The Netherlands was ranked third, with the household gross savings ratio of 13.6 percent.
