EU-28: Share of crude steel production in selected countries 2015-2018

This statistic illustrates the share of crude steel produced in the leading ten European producing countries in comparison with the total EU-28 production from 2015 to 2018. In all years recorded, Germany was by far the leading crude steel producer, accounting with more than one quarter of crude steel produced within the EU. Italy was the second largest producer in all years, accounting with 14.6 percent of the production within the EU-28 as of 2018. Further, the United Kingdom (UK) has seen a decline in crude steel production throughout the years, dropping 2.3 percent in 2018 in comparison with 2015.
