EU-28: Share of crude steel production in selected countries 2016-2019

This statistic illustrates the share of crude steel produced in the leading ten European producing countries in comparison with the total EU-28 production from 2015 to 2019. In all years recorded, Germany was by far the leading crude steel producer, accounting with more than one-quarter of crude steel produced within the EU. Italy was the second-largest producer in all years, accounting for nearly 15 percent of the production within the EU-28 as of 2019.
