EU-28: Production output of heavy sections by leading country 2010-2021
In the European Union (EU-27), Spain has been by far the leading producer of heavy sections, with around 2.7 million metric tons in 2021. The highest production within these 11 years was recorded in 2011 when Spain produced nearly three million metric tons of heavy sections. In 2021, Luxembourg, the second leading country in the EU-27, recorded a production volume of approximately 1.85 million metric tons.
