Italy: sectors responsible for food waste 2016

This statistic shows the main sectors responsible for food waste according to the adult Italian population in 2016. According to the study results, the majority of respondents (over 40 percent) believed the food retail sector produced the most food waste, while one in four interviewees thought that the public sector and families were the main culprits behind food waste in Italy (26 and 24 percent respectively).
