By far the most popular channel for rental videos is Subscription-Video-on-Demand, for example Netflix. The sales revenue from SVoD was 756 million British pounds in 2016. It was followed by Transactional-Video-on-Demand, where a customer pays for each individual video purchase. The revenue from TVoD was 344 million pounds. While the physical renting of videos is losing its popularity rapidly, it still managed to create a revenue of 49 million pounds in 2016.
