EU: value of renovations made to private households 2015

This statistic shows the sum of money spent in the European Union in 2015 on private maintenance and renovation of homes. The figures show that some countries have a greater market for renovation than other countries of comparable. For example, while France and the United Kingdom (UK) have comparable population sizes and gross domestic product (GDP) figures for 2015, French homeowners spent approximately five times more on home maintenance and renovations than British homeowners.
