In 2022/23, around 90 percent of German consumers bought organic products due to animal husbandry considerations. Other leading reasons included the desire for natural, untreated groceries, as well as supporting products of regional origin and regional businesses. The ranking is a result of a survey conducted in Germany in 2022/23 among respondents aged 14 years and older.
