Latin America: number of malaria deaths 2018, by country

In 2018, Venezuela presented the highest number of deaths due to malaria in Latin America, with a total of 257 cases. It was followed by Brazil with 44 deaths reported that same year. The country with the lowest number of deaths due to this tropical disease was the Dominican Republic with only one case reported in 2018.
