The Golden State Warriors’ franchise value has grown strongly over the past few years. In 2018, the franchise had an estimated value of 3.1 billion U.S. dollars, 10 times more than 10 years ago. The significant growth of its franchise value makes the team the third most valuable NBA franchise that year. The team’s revenue has also risen steadily over the past decade. In the 2017/18 season, the Warriors generated almost 360 million U.S. dollar in revenue. Only the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers earned more money in that season.
The Golden State Warriors increased their ticket price by almost 70 percent from the previous year and had the 4th most expensive tickets in the NBA in the 2015/16 season, with an average price of nearly 80 U.S. dollars. Despite the rise in ticket price, the regular season home attendance of the franchise remained unchanged. As of early 2018, the team had about 11.08 million Facebook fans and almost 5.63 million Twitter followers.
