According to a report from the UK's Department For Exiting The European Union that was leaked to Buzzfeed news, a hard Brexit could cost public finances
£80 billion. On a regional basis, the leave-voting strongholds of the North-east and the West Midlands would be worst hit economically. Sky News
obtained the figures from the report which expects the former to suffer a 16 percent decrease in GDP while the latter's would fall by 13 percent within a decade and a half. The North-west and Northern Ireland would also suffer a hard Brexit blow
of 12 percent while as a whole, the UK would experience an 8 percent drop.
