Germans, along with other Europeans, will be breathing a sigh of relief this week after temperatures finally increased. Much of the country was gripped by freezing weather last week due to a Siberian weather system dubbed the "Beast from the East". The mercury dipped as low as -14 in Hamburg in the north and -17 in Munich in the south. The following infographic shows just how cold February 2018 was for Germany with temperatures falling much lower than average for the time of year.
This chart shows the monthly average temperature in Germany.
