April is renowned for its showers, but this year in Germany, the fourth month of the year provided almost summer-like temperatures. The German Weather Service (Deutschen Wetterdienst) recorded an average level of 12.4°C across the country - about 5°C higher than the average and the highest temperature recorded since records began back in 1881.
