Indeed, the United States are not the only country where people commit school shootings. In fact, Germany, besides Finland and Scotland
also had to witness a string of killing sprees on schoolyards in the early 2000’s but measures were taken quickly, and Germany succeeded in tackling its problem with school shooters. The U.S., however, struggles to counter school shootings and since Trump’s inauguration the problem remains, despite intensifying public discourse, unresolved.
Comparing the countries with the most documented school shootings since 2009, one can not help but conclude that America has a unique problem.
