The music app landscape in India
is still dominated by Google Play Music with the U.S. provider accounting for 63.7 percent of the market. This though, is 1.3 percentage points lower than it was in January. According to figures
from Jana as reported by Quartz, chiefly responsible for reducing this share is India-based JioMusic/Saavn who jumped from 24.8 to 26.1 percent.
