Our chart provides an overview of the popularity of vaping among consumers in various countries using data from the Statista Global Consumer Survey.
E-cigarette use is particularly widespread in China where one in five respondents said they (also) use an electronic cigarette or vape. In the U.S., e-cigarettes also have a large following, with 13% percent of participants saying they used them.
In countries where e-cigarettes are banned - Brazil and more recently India (where the ban only applies to certain provinces) – use is very low. Since the ban in India only went into effect very recently, it can be assumed that there were few users there to begin with.
