The travel and accommodation industry has been one of the early adopters of AI technlogies. Not only have businesses been quick to apply AI chatbots, automated check-in and machine translation but consumers are also demonstrating their ability and willingness to use AI. The SiteMinder Changing Traveler Report 2025 found that globally almost 80% of travelers are open to using AI for planning, booking and experiencing their holiday. Indonesian travelers were most open to the using AI while just over a third of Canadians and Australians still have reservations.
