Is the internet contributing to the death of languages?
According to Ethnologue, 915 languages across the world are considered to be dying with six of them disappearing altogether each year. The internet may actually be contributing to the death of some global languages. 54.5 percent of the web's content is in English with increasing numbers of users preferring it to other languages.
