This statistic displays the results of a survey regarding willingness to make short journeys by train instead of flying in the Netherlands in 2018. The survey results suggest that as of 2018, close to 45 percent of people in the Netherlands were prepared to substitute short haul flights for train travel, even if it cost more time and/or money. Meanwhile, the share of respondents who indicated that they were not prepared to take such measures was approximately 20 percent in the same year.
