Stamp duty land tax: London (UK) tax receipts 2000-2018 Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) is levied on properties bought over the threshold of 125 thousand British pounds. The tax is implemented on all residential transactions unless they are a first time home buyer and therefore can claim a form of discount. The total value of stamp duty land tax receipts from fiscal year 2009/10 to fiscal year 2017/18 came to over 26 billion British pounds (GBP) during this period. A peak was seen in 2017/18 when receipts for residential transactions amounted to approximately 3.64 billion British pounds.
