Dwellings: Simple average house price in London 2000-2018, by buyer This statistic illustrates the price of new dwelling units in London, the United Kingdom (UK) from 2000 to 2018, by type of buyer. It can be seen that the simple average house price for former owner occupiers increased overall during the period under observation, reaching a value of 692 thousand British pounds in 2019. The lowest value for average house price for former owner occupiers since 2008 was found in 2009, when an average price of 413 thousand British pounds of dwellings was recorded. Simple average house prices for both first time buyers and former owner occupiers in London have increased by more than 3 fold between 2000 and 2018. The simple average house price for first time buyers in 2018 was 429 thousand British pounds.
