
Most popular sports locations among children in Denmark 2016
In 2016, practicing sports in a traditional sports hall was overall most popular among children in Denmark, with more than 50 percent of the children in the two oldest age groups going there. In contrast, 50 percent of the seven to nine year olds went to the indoor swimming pool, while only 18 percent of the children in the oldest age group did the same. Instead, 25 percent of the teenagers went to the fitness center, which is an increase of 20 percent when compared to the ten to twelve year olds.
