Heavy precipitation was the most common weather hazard that took place in Russia in 2017 and 2018, with 137 cases of it recorded in the latest year observed. Other leading intense meteorological events in 2018 were a strong wind and frost. While seven fog hazards were counted in 2017, only one case was registered in 2018.
