As of 2018, approximately 32 percent of polled British shoppers agreed with a statement that plant-based meat alternatives were often highly processed and not as natural as meat. In contrast, around 21 and 16 percent responded that they were a more ethical choice and more environmentally responsible than meat, respectively.
