England: Monthly A&E waiting times 2011-2022

In June 2022, around 72.1 percent of patients who attended any A&E department (including major A&E, single specialty, and other A&E/minor injury unit) in England were seen in four hours or less. This was well below the NHS operational standard, which states that 95 percent of attendees to an A&E department should be seen within four hours. This statistic shows the share of individuals who attended any accident and emergency (A&E) department and were seen in four hours or less in England from 2011 to 2022, by month.
