Number and share waiting within 18 weeks for elective treatment England 2007-2023

In April 2023, there were a total of 7.5 million people waiting for elective treatment. Of these, 4.3 million have been waiting for less than 18 weeks. This equates to 58.3 percent, much lower than the NHS standard of 92 percent.
