Most popular smartphone activities in Russia in 2019
The most popular activities in which Russians were engaged on their smartphones were SMS or MMS messaging and instant messaging, as per 94 and 86 percent of respondents in August 2019, respectively. While 60 percent of smartphone owners across the country used their devices to access online banking, 34 percent were provided government services through a gadget. By 2025, the rate of smartphone adoption in Russia was expected to increase to nearly 80 percent.
