Families with underage children in Finland 2017-2018, by number of children

In 2018, the number of families with children aged 17 or under in Finland decreased from the previous year irrespective of their size. This downward trend is generally reflected in the decreasing number of families and family population. The average number of children in families remained at the same level of 1.85 children per family in 2017 and 2018.
