During a March 2020 survey, it was found that Brazilians trusted scientists most to tell the truth about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its progression. As many as 91 percent of responding Brazilians named scientists among their top four most trusted institutions. Respondents' own doctor(s) and WHO officials ranked second and third, with 86 and 82 percent, respectively.
